Conclusion
The latest software was tried again in a standard 512K/512K Flash/RAM Card and I could not make the games software go wrong. There is no point testing the fast decode circuit unless it improves the situation. There was only one other test I could think of trying and that was to use an older copy of OZ 4.7 to see if that still fails.
