Fetching a file from the Flashcard
Press J to start Flashstore

As Flashstore is a Popdown, pressing exits the application and (in this case) returns to the INDEX.
Using Pipedream
Let's have a look at the file in Pipedream by selecting P

Finally use the key to start loading in the file.
The following screen is displayed showing the start of the file.
Note the page map is shown on the right-hand side with a small vertical bar (just next to the OZ symbol).
This bar shows you which part of the page is being viewed. In this case it is the top 6 lines.
By pressing you can go straight to the end of the file.
If this has worked for you, this is an excellent test for the RAM as it has been tested at both saving a file to it as well as it being used in the Pipedream application.
When you have finished with this file it is a good idea to kill this activity to release the memory it is using.
Pressing the key will display the following:-
Move the cursor to the right to select the desired suspended activity to kill, then press KILL
Note that the KILL menu command cannot be used e.g. moving the cursor across and then the key
This is done to ensure that you really wanted to KILL the suspended application.
Using Unzip
There are additional applications supplied on the Rakewell flash card that are not in OZ. One of these is Unzip.
To demonstrate this Fetch Romcombiner.zip from the flash card.
Select Unzip U or from the INDEX
Use the technique using the Filer (as shown above) to select the correct filename.
Use the key to start unzipping.
Files may be skipped by selecting the 'n' function
Selecting 'y' unzips the file.
Selecting 'y' unzips the file.
Selecting 'y' unzips the file.
All done. Select Q to Quit this popdown. Press to see all the commands.
Selecting the Filer F will show the additional files added to the :RAM.1.
Pressing twice here will catalogue them and give you the file sizes.
