General Description

The Am29F080 is an 8 MBitAm29F040B is a 4 Mbit, 5.0 volt-only memory organised Flash memory organized as 1,048,576 bytes.

The 8 bits of data appear on DQ0-DQ7.

The Am29F080 is offered in 40 pin TSOP and 44-pin SO packages.

This device 524,288 Kbytes of 8 bits each. The 512 Kbytes of data are divided into eight sectors of 64 Kbytes each for flexible erase capability. The 8 bits of data appear on DQ0–DQ7. The Am29F040B is offered in 32-pin PLCC, TSOP, and PDIP packages. This device is designed to be programmed in-system with the standard the standard system 5.0 volt Vcc VCC supply. A 12.0 volt Vpp is not required to program VPP is not required for write or erase operations. This device can The device can also be programmed in standard EPROM programmers.

Set the switch settings for the 512K DIL Flash chip.

These are the same for both the 1M and 512K devices.

  • Plug in the Z88 Card into the Z88 Extender card
  • Unplug and secure the A19 lead from the Header connector on the EPROM Programmer. This is NOT USED for 512K Flash cards.
  • Connect Set the shorting connector to pull up A19switch position to the Right.

  • Plug in the Z88 Extender card into the programmer's ZIF socket.

  • Remove the Z88 Card
  • Connect the power and parallel USB cable to the EPROM programmer 
  • Connect to the PC and
  • Initialise the EPROM Programmer
