Here is a picture of the 512K/512K Flash/RAM card out of the packaging.
There are even instructions with it. Does anybody read these?
1. Open the Card Flap and push the card into Slot 1.
2. Leaving the Card Flap open (or open it again), press the reset switch a couple of times with an opened paperclip.
3. Shut the Card Flap
You should see the HARD RESET ... come up on the screen, if not
try moving the contrast knob one way and then the other
if that fails - go back to 2 and try again.
If it works you should see the INDEX screen.
Note that UK is displayed underneath the OZ symbol top right-hand corner of the screen.
Press J to start Flashstore
Use the cursor keys to move to the next window, then the five times until it is over the F /flash.txt filename.
Press to select that file.
The following screen will be displayed. You can use the cursor keys to change the Save to: destination if desired, but :RAM.1/flash.txt is fine.
Press to confirm this.
This screen shows the file was copied to :RAM.1 successfully. Press either or to resume as instructed.
The following screen is displayed.
As Flashstore is a Popdown, pressing exits the application and (in this case) returns to the INDEX.
Let's have a look at the file in Pipedream by selecting P
Select File Load either
pressing the key 4 times to display the FILES menu, then selecting it with the key
or using the short-form key presses of FL
To save typing in the file name, the Filer may be used to select this. Select the Filer F
Move the cursor to the right using key.
Select that file by pressing the key.
Note that a mark to the left of the file name indicating that this file has been selected.
Press the key to return to Pipedream.
Note that the :RAM.1/flash.txt has been filled in.
This text file is a 'Plain Text' file so before the file is loaded the 'Load as plain text' needs to changed to 'Yes.'
Move the cursor down 3 lines and use the 'Y' key to change it.
Finally use the key to start loading in the file.
The following screen is displayed showing the start of the file.
The first 4 sections are for first-time users, to give them a taste of how easy it is to use the Z88 using the Flash Card.
The last section is to upgrade your copy of OZ.

Get files that are already to use from the Flash Card to RAM so they can be used with other applications.
Load a file into Pipedream using the Filer to select the name. This is an excellent test for the RAM.
Using the KILL menu command
Using one of the additional popdowns that is supplied but is not in the OZ suite of programs.
Update your Flash card to the latest version (October 2014).
