V5.2 Release Notes

With great pleasure, the Z88 team presents EazyLink popdown V5.2. This is the first public announcement of the EazyLink popdown in our new project hosting; it has been around for many years, supported by InterLogic, Rakewell Ltd and its Z88 users, gradually improving features and stability.

With a proper Z88 project in the public for the EazyLink popdown, is is now more easy to provide release information and project management. This is also a joint-release with the new EazyLink Desktop Client that utilizes all the new features of the V5.2 popdown.

Highlights of EazyLink V5.2 and V5.1:

• New protocol command to return device statistics about physical size and free space.
• New protocol command to return the CRC-32 of a file located in RAM or File Card
• Returns Device Names for File Cards inserted in any external slot (files stored on EPROM or FLASH cards) as :EPR.x when the desktop client queries for available file devices on the Z88
• Download files from File Cards in available external slots. Upload files to Flash File Cards (EPROM File cards not supported)
• Size information returned from when polling files on File Cards (when using File Size Protocol Command)
• Mark files as deleted on File Cards (when using Delete File Protocol Command)
• All features of this stand-alone version has been integrated into OZ/EazyLink, running in OZ V4.3.1
